Google Site

Hello friends!

I want to update you on a new feature I have for my blog.

I had been looking for ways to share my recipes on this blog for a long time but wasn't finding anything I liked.  Then, I found out that google has a program that lets you make your own website that will let you upload files from your computer to share.  You can find out how here!

I had originally intended to just use it to share recipes that Chris and I love but I'm thinking of expanding it to include printables and other things.  With this site, you are able to download all of my files to your own computer to save or do whatever you want with.

Click on the Downloads and Printables tab at the top of my blog and let me know what you think!

  1. I like it!

I'm liking that you can host files to be downloaded, but it can never replace blogger ... (It would make more sense if they integrated it into blogger somehow)

ps - you can link to it in your header bar :) ... somehow ... :/ can't remember how, though.

  2. I agree, it's great to have but blogger is definitely still the site you'd want to keep!

You can link it? Guess I'll be spending more time on the computer while I try to figure it out! :-)

    1. Yup - I figured it out:
From your dashboard, go under pages (like you're editing your blog) and it will show the list of pages you have (married life, hobbies, blogs), and any draft pages you have - click "New Page" and it should have an option to chose a web address (send readers to another web address) - click that, name the page, then set the link as the main page for your google site. Whenever they click that tab it will redirect them to your other page.

{I'm using the updated blogger interface - I'm not sure if it's different in the old version or not} :)

    2. Ohh...I did it the hard way! haha. I used a gadget button for the right side of my blog where you can post your favorite links. That's where I put my google site, yours, one of your blog posts, and something from iHeartOrganizing. Your way sounds much easier though! Thank you! :-)
